NOTAM



NOTAM (NOtices To Air Mission) is automized alarm system which issues alarms for flight safety. If any hazards for safety are detected in flying routes or airports then safety alarms are issued by government agencies or flight operators for aircraft men to be able to prepare safe flight schedules or routes to avoid such hazards.



Each airport usually issues NOTAM schedules for maintenance of runway, facilities or control devices which are able to affect on safety in advance for airlines to be notified because the safety of taking-off and landing can’t be secured while such maintenance is being done.


If unexpected NOTAM are issued from some airports then flying airplane should find out another airport where it can land and airplane on runway can’t take off. Even if international airport issues such unscheduled NOTAM by any causes, then all flight schedules in the world will be damaged seriously.


In the year of 2015, Data Service Platform of Cnix were supplied to all airports and vortexes in South Korea and integrated about 1,400 devices which had been provided by over 30 different manufacturers and whose number of kind was up to 130, and is monitoring statuses and data from them in realtime. This makes people who are responsible for maintenance enable to recognize malfunctions of devices in advance before they affect on safety and protect airports from unintended NOTAM.
